Over 2,500 years ago, Maharishi Kashyap authored the Kashyap Samhita, a foundational Ayurvedic text on Kaumarabhritya—the science of child and maternal health. It includes insights on neonatal care, nutrition, immunization, and mental development, emphasizing care from infancy rather than just treatment.
Even today, with high infant and child mortality rates in India, especially in Uttar Pradesh, his vision remains vital. Maharishi Kashyap advocated for preventive, personalized care—reminding us that every child deserves dedicated and dignified medical attention.

These experiences shaped my vision and strengthened my belief that every child deserves access to world-class pediatric care.
When I returned home, I recognized a critical gap. Multispecialty hospitals were largely adult-centric, while general pediatric setups lacked the infrastructure and specialized approach required for managing complex pediatric conditions. As a result, many trained pediatric specialists, including myself, were forced to compromise in our practice.
This realization became a turning point. From this vision, KIPS was born — a center dedicated entirely to children.
Today, when I look at what we have built together, I feel proud to say, “Yes, we did it.” More than that, I feel inspired — because this is just the beginning of a journey to redefine pediatric superspecialty care in North India.

Over the years, my journey in pediatric and neonatology healthcare has revealed a consistent challenge — while many hospitals excel in routine and emergency care, a crucial gap exists for children with complex, rare, or diagnostically challenging conditions.
These limitations often arise due to the lack of advanced technology, specialized equipment, and true multidisciplinary coordination. Each such experience strengthened my resolve to create a center where expertise, compassion, and innovation come together under one roof.
This vision gave birth to KIPS — a pediatric superspecialty hospital focused on children who require advanced, technology-driven care beyond what general pediatric hospitals can offer.
