Dr. Anupam Kumar is a dedicated pediatric intensivist with MD in Paediatrics from Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore, and Fellowship in IDPCCM from Apollo Children's Hospital. He is recognized for his expertise in managing critically ill children and infants in high-acuity PICU settings, with strong skills in advanced ventilation strategies (invasive and noninvasive), emergency trauma stabilization, sepsis and shock management, neonatal intensive care, and procedures including intubation, central lines, and lumbar punctures.
He has progressed through key roles Associate Consultant at Aster Whitefield Hospital, Bangalore, Senior Pediatric Intensivist at Aster CMI, Hebbal Bangalore, and Senior PICU Specialist at Aster RV, Bangalore. He has also contributed to medical research with multiple national and international publications.
Passionate about teaching and quality care, Dr. Kumar conducts ICU skills training, POCUS workshops, and air transport sessions for PICU fellows and nurses, combining clinical acumen with multidisciplinary leadership to optimize patient outcomes, with a special interest in promoting safe PICU practices and advancing pediatric critical care.
